Constipation
Constipation include the following conditions
1) bowel movements which do not occur daily. प्रतिदिन मल न होना
2) dry stools. सूखा मल
3) difficult defecation. मल त्याग मे कठिनाई होना
4) abnormal shape of stools. मल का असामन्य आकार
Diagnosis
1) stool which is round and small pebbles (कंकड़ ) indicates heat if it is very dry . मल जो गोल और कंकड़ के आकार का हो तथा सूखा हो – गर्मी।
2) stool which is round and small pebbles indicates liver qi stagnation if it is not dry.मल जो गोल और कंकड़ के आकार का हो तथा गीला हो liver qi stagnation बताता है।
3) long and thin stool like pencil indicates spleen qi deficiency. It may indicate carcinoma of the bowel. लंबा और पतला पेंसिल के आकार का मल spleen qi deficiency बताता है। इसका कारण गुदा का कैंसर भी हो सकता है।
4) dry stools indicates heat or deficiency of yin. सूखा मल गर्मी या deficiency of yin बताता है।
A) dry stools with intense thirst with desire to drink large amount of cold water is due to heat
B) dry stools with dry mouth and a desire to only sip water is due to deficiency of yin
5) loose stools which are difficult to expel is due to spleen qi deficiency with stagnation of liver qi.
6) watery yellow & non frothy explosive stools spreading in all directions of the pot indicates humid heat पानी जैसा पीला, झागदार आवाज के साथ निकलने वाला मल जो pot में चारो तरफ फेल जाता है।
7) watery yellow and non frothy explosive stools in all directions of pot indicates humid cold.
8) constipation with severe and spastic abdominal pain is due to cold
9) constipation with mild abdominal pain and excess distention is due to stagnation of liver qi.
10) difficult defecation with great efforts is due to deficiency of qi or yang.
11) exhaustion after bowel movements also indicates deficiency of qi or yang.
12) cramps after defection indicates cold or stagnation.
13) pale stool indicates humidity usually humid heat in gall bladder.
14) dark stools indicates heat
15) green stools in children indicates cold.
